Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain patient medical records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
- Scanning, sorting and uploading chart documents to the electronic health record.
- Retrieve and file medical records as requested by staff and providers in Clinic.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements regarding patient confidentiality and record-keeping.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to input, update, and manage patient information.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff to facilitate the flow of information.
- Respond to requests for medical records from patients, physicians, and insurance companies in a timely manner.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare systems is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in using computer systems for data entry and record management.
