Job Summary
We are seeking a full time team member to work as a backup/part-time MID Technician and also to assist with incoming paperwork. As an MID Technician, you will be receiving incoming prescriptions, checking for accuracy, and inputting that information into our system. You will also be accepting payments for prescriptions, receiving incoming inventory, and answering customer questions and concerns. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service skills, and prior experience working in a fast-paced environment. This position will also be cross-trained to assist with incoming paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Receive faxed prescriptions from our clinic's providers, verify the information is accurate, and input it into the system as needed
- Maintain proper storage and inventory of all medications in the MID
- Receive incoming inventory, verify the accuracy, log it within the system, and put it away as needed
- Maintain proper MID records, including patient profiles, inventory logs, and more
- Accept payment for prescriptions and small transactions
- Answer phones and handle customer inquiries, referring to the pharmacy as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed
- Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology desired
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
